There is one name synonymous with Brinno time lapse cameras in North America, Josh Banks.
Since purchasing his first camera in 2013, this guy has done it all and shows no signs of slowing down with his latest Brinno venture, aptly named TimeLapseCameras.com
We noticed Josh’s first video, an extensive seven month project, days after he uploaded the video to YouTube our Social Media Manager reached out and put Josh in contact with the President of our US Distributor. Since then, there has been no looking back. Josh has been involved with high level customer care, helping user’s worldwide. Josh has visited Brinno in Taiwan, participated in camera development and marketing initiatives, toured factories and made friends with the core people within our great company. Josh has represented Brinno at major trade shows including the Consumer Electronics and International Builder’s Shows. Josh has also trained major retailer sales teams. He continues to create content and build brand awareness by constantly expanding his collection of engaging and unique videos.

1) What is the appeal of time-lapse for you and your clients?
A time-lapse is an interesting, fast way to see a change in something, in real time either in construction or movement. In modern cities and in modern time things happen quickly. Modern people like to see what they want to see. They don’t have the time or patience to see long videos. In a time-lapse you can see a building being constructed, the growth of a plant or flower, the movement of the clouds, any process that takes hours you can see it in minutes. Time-lapse is also useful in editing or transition in a video.

Recently Brinno’s Time Lapse Cameras have been gaining recognition and popularity among film industry professionals. San Andreas is a 2015 American disaster film directed by Brad Peyton. It has a great cast and outstanding special effects. The photographer, Jacinta Leong, found an incredible opportunity to document her work by using the Brinno BCC200 as well as sharing it with the world.
Jacinta Leong is a freelancing feature film art director. In addition, she is known for such films as ‘The Matrix’, ‘Star Wars Movies’, ‘The Great Gatsby’, and of course ‘San Andreas’. She filmed the “San Andreas Movie – Set Construction Time Lapse” for documentation of her crew’s beautifully done creation and bring it on YouTube.
